Authorisations outside of Brussels/Belgium
A container, crane or worksite occupying public space may require a permit outside Brussels too. The procedure varies by municipality, road authority and type of works. Metropolis identifies the applicable steps for you.
Find the local procedure
We establish which authority is responsible and what application or notification is required. For Belgian projects, we may work through GIPOD, Powalco or EagleBe, or directly with the municipality or road authority. For projects in other countries, we examine local requirements before agreeing the scope of our support.
Prepare and follow up
We gather the location, schedule, duration and likely impact. Where needed, we prepare plans and address signage or phasing requirements. For assignments we take on, we submit the application and follow its progress.
Projects across borders
Works may also require discussion about access, traffic measures or neighbouring projects. For sites in the Netherlands, France or Germany, we first look at the applicable procedures and organisations. We can then establish with you what support is feasible in that location.
