Complex works involve more than one organisation. Contractors, municipalities, road authorities, utilities, public transport operators and residents all have their own constraints. Metropolis helps project owners coordinate them.
Problems that surface on site often begin earlier: a permit has not been secured, a diversion was not discussed or another project conflicts with the schedule. We examine these dependencies while the project can still be adapted.
Start coordination before works begin
Which authorities need to be involved? Are other works planned nearby? How will access be maintained? We address these questions early so that applications and discussions can take place in time.
Our role is practical: turn meeting decisions into assigned actions, get information to the right people and ensure outstanding issues are followed up. We can also step in when new problems arise during delivery.
Keep decisions moving
We take part in coordination meetings, liaise with the parties involved and follow up agreed actions. If schedules clash or an administrative or mobility issue arises during the works, we help develop a workable response.
Connect permits, mobility and phasing
A change to a work phase may affect a permit; a diversion may require consultation with a road authority or public transport operator. We consider these issues together, whether you need help with one stage or the full project.
Depending on the assignment, we combine coordination with permit applications, traffic management plans and mobility advice. Support can cover one phase or the full programme.
